Movie Review: A DogGone Christmas

*I received this movie in exchange for my honest thoughts and opinions.

2 American Bully puppies with the movie dvd A DogGone Christmas

I had the wonderful opportunity to view the new movie A DogGone Christmas about an adorable orphan puppy with telepathic abilities who is discovered by the government and they end up locking him up and planning to force the poor little Jack Russell Terrier Murphy (YouTube sensation Just Jesse the Jack) to become a covert secret weapon. Fate ends up saving this pint-sized puppy from the horrible government scientist (Dominique Swain, Face/Off) and he ends up stumbling into the arms of two loving brothers (Walker Mintz, Nessie & Me; and Jayden Hedden, "Betrayed") a week before Christmas. As you would expect, the brothers end up falling love with the puppy right from the start. Quickly they come to find that their new furry friend is actually able to communicate with them telepathically. However, the boys need to find a way to adopt the puppy and keep him safe because they face a few major problems. For one, their dad is out of work with tons of bills to pay. Another big problem is the fact that their parent's won't allow them to have pets of any kind.

If their family problems weren't already enough, the government sends out teams of field agents to find the little puppy using helicopters and drones to search the country side. One particular agent (Lauren Parkinson, Avengers Grimm) is given strict orders to bring the puppy back or ensure that the puppy doesn't get into the hands of the enemy (we all know what this unfortunately means). On a mission to to follow orders a particular special agent will stop at nothing to find the puppy before anyone else does. So it's up the the young brothers along with the help of their friends to protect the puppy and save Christmas.

My three-year-old son, husband and I all enjoyed watching this movie very much. It was perfect timing too because we were just blessed with eight beautiful American Bully puppies on Thanksgiving day and my son was so excited that this movie included an adorable puppy too!

I really enjoyed that even though the boys were just children, they were able to devise a plan and work together in order to save the little puppy. My son had so much fun rooting for the boys, hoping that they would save Murphy.

Even though this movie is a holiday comedy, you and your child will love sitting down and watching this movie together anytime of the year!
