Ramona Quimby, Age 8 by Beverly Cleary

I’ve loved this book since I was in elementary school X number of years ago. It’s still a classic! Ramona has always been and continues to be one of my heroes!

Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson

A tearjerker, but a beautiful and award-winning story about friendship and a magical place called Terabithia.

The One and Only Ivan by Katherine Applegate

My kids are obsessed with this book -- Ivan is a Silverback gorilla who lives in a cage at a mall. He sees the world through new eyes when he meets Ruby, a baby elephant.

Because of Winn-Dixie by Kate DiCamillo

For anyone who has loved a pet, you will love this extraordinary book about a girl and her best friend, Winn-Dixie.
