I'm the mom that you see strolling with her tot and her smartphone seated unsecured in the built-in cup holder on the stroller. Every bump sending the phone jumping and falling back and forth. Oh, did I mention how much I hate not being able to see the screen. No matter how hard I try to grab my phone from the cup holder to answer it, the stroller is veering off the sidewalk and into the grass due to one handedness (my son doesn't mind, he loves adventure!) So when I was provided the wonderful opportunity to try out the MountCase 2 BabyStroller Kit with RainGuard for my Galaxy S6 Edge by Tiagra Sport, I was ecstatic!
When I removed my MountCase from the package, the first thing I noticed was how lightweight it was. I really appreciate this feature due to the fact that my phone already has some weight to it as it is. My next step was installing the flexible mount on my stroller. I was a little skeptical at first due to how flexible the mount felt in my hand before installing, but found it to be acceptably durable once mounted. Installing the mount to the stroller bracket was a piece of cake (psst...no tools required!)
For the first time using the mount out and about, I placed the rubberized case on my phone, which I found to fit nice and snug. I ended up liking it so much, that I now use it daily; it really adds a nice touch! Once I actually had the phone in the mount, I found that the phone can be mounted vertically or horizontally, which is a nice feature for personal preference. The next thing that I wanted to test (and this would be the deal breaker) was ease of removing my phone from the mount. I was literally able to twist and click in two swift motions in a matter of seconds!
Now the RainGuard cover is for optional use to not only keep your phone waterproofed, but to keep it dust and particle free as well. I already have a permanent waterproof protector on my phone, so unfortunately I was not able to test how effectively the RainGuard cover protected. However, for the purpose of this review, I did pop on the RainGuard to see how easy it was to use the phone with it on. I still had full access to my screen and ports. The only minor issue I found was muffled sound while on a call.
I have speakers built-in to my stroller, so my son and I had a blast listening to my playlist on my phone on our stroll to the park. If I wanted to skip a song, I could do it with a single swipe of my finger versus the hassle of taking my hand off the stroller to pick up my phone to see the screen.
Overall, I give the MountCase 2 BabyStroller Kit with RainGuard Galaxy S6 Edge http://www.bike2power.com/galaxy-s6-edge-mountcase-II-baby-stroller-mount-kittwo thumbs for it's lightweight, durability, easy installation, ease of use and keeping moms hands free while strolling with my son.
